This space won the 2012 CH+D Award for Sustainable Architecture. Those of you confined to a dark, chilly cubicle may want to stop reading now. When builder Buck O’Neill needed new office space for his company, he approached architects Hulett Jones and Paul Haydu with an impressive list of requirements that could only result in lifelong company loyalty from his small staff. Together, the three transformed a 1,100-square-foot live/work loft in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood into a bright, “breathing” office.
